Common fall hazards
- Wild mushrooms: Can be toxic to pets.
- Acorns: May cause stomach upset or blockages.
- Moldy food and compost: Can contain harmful toxins.
- Rodenticides: Can be deadly. Keep all products secure.
- Grapes and raisins: Toxic to pets, even in small amounts.
- Xylitol: Found in sugar-free gum, candy, and some baked goods. Can be life-threatening.
Ticks Don't Take the Fall Off
Ticks can stay active in Ohio during the fall, and even on warmer winter days. Keep protection going year-round.
- Keep flea and tick prevention current.
- Check your pet after time outdoors.
