Can I order my pet's medication and food online?

Yes. We offer our own online pharmacy that delivers your pet’s medications, supplements, food, and more straight to your door, with options for autoship, rebates, and free shipping.

For pet food, you can also use Purina Home Delivery and Hill’s to Home, which ship directly from the manufacturer and often include exclusive rebates and special offers.

Do you accept pet insurance?

We’re glad to work with pet insurance and can provide the documentation you need to submit a claim to your provider. If you’re considering a policy, our pet insurance page explains how it works and what to look for before you need it.

Do you offer acupuncture or holistic care?

Yes. We offer integrative medicine and acupuncture, which combine conventional veterinary care with complementary therapies. Acupuncture uses gentle stimulation of specific points on the body to help manage pain, improve mobility, and promote natural healing. Benefits may include pain relief for arthritis or injuries, support for digestive, respiratory, or neurological conditions, and enhanced overall wellness.

Do you offer dental care?

Yes. Dental care is essential to a long, healthy life. For every dental procedure we take full-mouth digital X-rays, just like your dentist does, so we can see below the gumline and identify teeth that may need treatment. Learn more on our surgical and dental care page. Some pet parents choose annual preventive cleanings, while others pursue dental care as concerns arise—we create a personalized plan for every pet.

How can I pay and do you offer financing?

For any services beyond a complimentary first exam, we always discuss costs with you before treatment is performed. For financing, many clients use CareCredit. If you have questions about payment options for a specific service, our team is happy to walk you through them—just give us a call or reach out at (614) 761-8400.

How do I become a new client?

Welcoming a new pet to our family is easy. You can request an appointment through our website or call us at (614) 761-8400, and our team will be in touch to get you scheduled. New pet families in the Dublin area may also be eligible for a complimentary first wellness visit—see our new patient page for details.

How do I choose the right CMS for my needs?

Selecting a CMS

Choosing the right Content Management System depends on several factors, including your technical expertise, budget, and specific requirements. Start by identifying your primary goals: Are you building a blog, an e-commerce site, or a portfolio? Next, consider the ease of use, scalability, and available support options. Popular CMS options include WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal, each catering to different needs.

Factors to Consider

  • Ease of Use: Look for a CMS that matches your technical skills.
  • Budget: Consider both initial costs and ongoing expenses.

Ultimately, the right CMS will align with your goals and provide the necessary tools for success.

How do I request a prescription refill?

You can request a medication refill through our medication refill form. Refill requests require veterinarian approval, so please allow 24–48 hours for processing.

Some medications require an exam or lab work before they can be released. You can choose to pick up your medication at Muirfield Animal Hospital or have it shipped through our online pharmacy.

How do I schedule an end-of-life or quality-of-life appointment?

Please contact our office to schedule a quality-of-life or euthanasia appointment. We will always try to accommodate same-day requests for established clients when needed. We’re here to help you navigate these decisions with honesty, empathy, and respect, and to guide you through hospice, in-hospital, and in-home options as well as aftercare—learn more on our end-of-life care and hospice page.

How long do refills take?

Please allow 24–48 hours for refill requests to be processed, as they require veterinarian approval. If your pet is experiencing an emergency, do not wait for a refill—see our emergency care page right away.

How often should my pet have a wellness exam?

We recommend a comprehensive physical exam at least once a year, and sometimes more often depending on your pet’s age and needs. As pets get older, regular checkups become even more important. These exams may include routine bloodwork, vaccinations, and health screenings to catch any changes early, along with continued monthly heartworm and flea prevention. See our wellness visits page for what to expect.

How secure is a CMS?

CMS Security

Security is a critical concern for any website, and Content Management Systems are no exception. Most reputable CMS platforms implement robust security measures, including regular updates, user permissions, and security plugins. However, users must also take proactive steps, such as using strong passwords and keeping their software up to date.

Best Practices

  • Regular Updates: Always update your CMS and plugins to the latest versions.
  • Strong Passwords: Use complex passwords and change them regularly.

By following these practices, you can significantly enhance the security of your CMS.

What's the difference between urgent care and emergency care?

Urgent care involves serious concerns that need prompt attention but are not immediately life-threatening—such as minor cuts, recent vomiting or diarrhea, painful ear infections, mild allergic reactions, or minor injuries. The goal is to treat the issue before it worsens.

Emergency care is needed when your pet faces a potentially life-threatening situation requiring immediate intervention—such as difficulty breathing, seizures or collapse, severe trauma, poisoning, or severe bleeding or choking. Our urgent care & emergency page has partner facilities and contact numbers. If you’re unsure how serious a situation is, call us and our team can help you decide.
